FAQs

What are the Paths of Dicipleship?

We have three intentional discipleship paths that we invite everyone to experience - Membership, Mission, and Maturity.

Our Membership Path is designed for anyone seeking membership at The Summit. It begins with informal interaction with key leaders. and ends with an overview of our specific theological beliefs and church structure.

Our Missions Path takes you on a deep dive into what it means on a practical level. It adds Gospel Fluency, believing the gospel, and Kingdom Fluency, becoming the gospel. The goal is to understand what it means to live out our mission to His glory.

Our Maturity Path is a unique path that is ongoing and designed for everyone. The specifics of this pathchange year to year, but the intent is the same. Do - How do we live out the gospel in our daily lives? Know - How can we grow more in our love for God through Scripture? And, Be - How can we continue to develop and strengthen spiritual habits in our lives?

What are "Discipleship Classes"?

Discipleship classes are formal ways to learn and grow in the Gospel. Understanding who Jesus is, is the foundation for a transformed life. Life change happens best in community, so studying and learning to live out the Gospel with others in these formal setting as well as more informal settings is how we encourage growth and change. Informal discipleship happens when two or more people meet regularly and process how the Gospel is impacting every area of their lives.

What about small groups?

We have small groups, known as community groups, that meet together to build relationships while they study the word together, fellowship together, eat together, and serve together. They meet at various places around St. Charles County at different times during the week. The goal is to grow together as disciples of the Gospel so we can be families of grace in our homes, neighborhoods, offices and schools.
